img500nu.jpgI’m not really sure why my Grandpa F decided to snap these two photos of people getting their hair cut, but I’m glad he did. I guess this proves that we share the same blood. At left is my Grandma getting her new ‘do’ in 1961 from Mrs. Happensack, the neighbor across the street. Below are two shots of my Dad, the first showing him getting his hair cut by his Uncle Joe in November 1958. He was the husband of my Grandma’s sister Bessie. Below that is the aftermath of said haircut.

One Response to “A Fresh New Haircut”

  1. Mrs. Happensack was a neighbor from across the road. We used to take bugs or locust shells over to her and surprise her to make her scream. The Happensacks used to sit on the front porch in the evenings (People did that a lot back then since it was cooler than in the house – there was no AC) and you could hear her scream from our yard across the road! Oh, what entertainment!
