amon4.jpgOkay, we were in Myrtle Beach…so, now what was there to do? Apparently, sit around and take photos! This was my lazy (well, let’s say, laziest) day of the week. It wasn’t until dinner that I changed out of my pajamas. And I can’t honestly say that I remember even brushing my teeth. So, basically it was a day for sitting around and enjoying the TV. I won’t say ‘peace and quiet’ because we had three little ones around always keeping us on our toes. Mom, Denise, Ashleigh, and Adam (hereafter referred to as My Gang) went off to Barefoot Landing for a few hours while Bev, Karen, Abby, and Andrew (hereafter referred to as The Eds) went outside to play. So that was the cue to pop in some “Family Ties” and “Diff’rent Strokes” TV on DVD.

Ashleigh and I had the living room to sleep in, so I attempted to straighten it up and get Ashleigh’s blow-up mattress out of the way – but it soon became obvious that keeping the living room organized was a futile effort, so after this day, I didn’t try anymore. I had lunch from the groceries we purchased, along with the snacks that Bev brought.

Now the world don’t move…

When it was time to get myself together that evening, we headed out for dinner at the Spring House. There was some confusion on whether it was called Spring House or Spring Time, with all of the confusion from another restaurant called Overtime adding to the confusing confusion. Nevertheless it was a decent meal with the usual antics from Andrew and me.

After dinner, Denise and I took a walk over to the clubhouse hoping for some ping-pong action. Frustratingly, some losers were already monopolizing the table. The fact that we never went upstairs to let them know that we were interested in playing was their fault, not ours. In my disgust, I erased the zero from the water aerobics schedule, making it appear that it was scheduled at 1:00 instead of 10:00. Tee hee. After our infamous walk, we retired to our quarters for some hearty wine guzzling and spirited games of Farkle and Yahtzee.

Goodnight Monday. Goodnight Moon. Goodnight Big Red Balloon. Goodnight Andrew jumping all over the room. Goodnight hair that was brushed with a broom.

Next: Tuesday and beyond…
