cuz8.jpgHere is an assortment of nice color slides taken at the houses of various family members – including ours on Echo Hill, highlighting a couple of family get-togethers. As I mentioned in a previous posting, our families – as they continue to do now – always spent a lot of time together. The allusion to the ‘cousins parties’ in the title comes from a series of gatherings from the late 90’s and early 2000’s of the older cousins on my Mom’s side. I’m thinking its high time for another one.

The shot above of me with Lora and Robby – and all of the photos below were taken in March of 1972 at a gathering at Carl and Arline’s house. The date of the LIFE Magazine on the table was March 24…and the slides are dated March. An early Easter gathering perhaps? It fell on April 2.

Mom generally got me liquored up before the cousins parties, which set the standard for many cousins parties in the future. And my God, what’s up with those shoes??

  1. OK, what kind of beer is your mom drinking? I would propose buying a case (assuming it’s still being manufactured) for the next cousins party.
