Had Lesley Ann Warren been given either of two major roles that she tried out for – as Liesl in The Sound of Music or as Lois Lane in the 1978 version of Superman – I would have been all over getting her autograph in the past. As it was, I had bypassed having Bob get any signatures from her when she appeared at the Hollywood Show in February 2010. But when she made an appearance at the Chiller Theatre Show in Parsippany, New Jersey on Saturday, October 30, 2010, I did a little more research on her and found that she had been in something that interested me.
She had been in a few notable films and TV shows in recent years – such as Color of Night, Clue, Life Stinks, Victor/Victoria (for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress), and a five episode run of Will & Grace. But what really interested me was that she had starred in two of Walt Disney’s live action feature films, The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band and The Happiest Millionaire. The latter was the last production to be filmed with the involvement of Walt himself, who died during production.
When I asked her about photos from either film, she quickly pointed out the great color shot above of her on the set with Walt Disney. There was no question that this was the photo for me. I plunked down my $40, which included a picture with her. She was a really nice gal and looked pretty amazing for being 64 years old. I thanked her was on my way with one more Disney treasure for my collection.

Celebrities of the Fall 2010 Chiller Theatre show will continue…
My favorite of hers was Pure Country with George Strait. Good stuff.

Don’t forget she also played Cinderella. That was and is one of my all time favorite musicals.

If we’re going through her credits, then her starring role in Season 5 of the original “Mission: Impossible” TV series must be acknowledged as well.
