"I've had an interesting morning. In the last two hours I've lost my job, my apartment, my car, and my girlfriend." - John Winger, "Stripes"

My Dad and Vicki picked me up yesterday and we headed to Denise and Aaron’s house in Columbus (after we headed to Burger King and headed for a coronary). We spent a nice afternoon visiting with them and baby Adam who was at his cutest. Also the Cincinnati Bengals lost in an incredible game in which the teams put a combined score of 90 points on the board.

Adam was mostly happy during the visit, but took a few breaks from smiling, laughing, and cooing to fuss, eat, and take a couple of brief naps. I finally located the missing mid-1980′s photo album that I desperately needed in order to begin my late-1980′s postings on this site. Denise and I were enraptured for a while in figuring out when certain pictures were taken since somehow they were inserted in the album completely out of order.

I also rescued some of my old 45rpm records that you can read about here – as well as some long-forgotten record gems like Disney’s Haunted Mansion, Johnny Appleseed, and The Sesame Street Monsters. So I came home with some swell loot.

The Bengals were up 21-0 at the end of the first quarter and ended up losing in an amazing twist of fate and lack of effort. No wonder Adam got kind of fussy. We left at the end of the game, kissed Adam goodbye, and stopped at Bob Evans for dinner. What a nice day at Denise’s!
