He simply got left out. Nerds often do. I’m referring (of course) to exclusion of Andrew Cassese during the great Revenge of the Nerds reunion that took place in Burbank in October of 2010. Almost all of the actors portraying the nerds in the classic (well, I think it’s classic) film from 1984 were present. Anthony Edwards who had played Gilbert had simply gotten to big to attend, due to his role in E.R. Andrew Cassese, who had played Wormser, was simply forgotten.
To quote Cassese himself, when I asked why he wasn’t at the earlier reunion to add his signature on the cast photo above from Revenge of the Nerds 2: Nerds in Paradise, his response was “they forgot to invite me.” So needless to say I was more than pleased to add his signature to finish off this cool cast photo when he was finally remembered and invited to the Chiller Theatre Show in Parsippany, New Jersey, on April 30, 2011. He was a nice guy and like the nerds that I met before him, didn’t charge any additional fee for a picture with him.

It’s been two weeks since this posting appeared on the site…and no postings since. Has the Terrible Cat been Terribly abandoned? If so, that would be very Terrible indeed…
