"I can see you right now in the kitchen, bending over a hot stove. But I can't see the stove." - Groucho Marx, "Duck Soup"

Cameron Dye’s biggest claim-to-fame was in his portrayal of Nicolas Cage’s buddy in the 1983 teen comedy Valley Girl. It’s true that the film was kind of fun and I enjoyed it for what it was: a pile of crap. But having said that, my main impetus for purchasing a signed photo of Cameron Dye was the fact that he had played the role of Sam Phelan in two episodes of Smallville. You see… Superman connections pretty much always trump raunchy teen poo.

He was a pretty nice guy and was willing to pose for a free photo with me when I ran across him at the Hollywood Show on Saturday, February 11, 2012. I scoped out his photos and obviously opted for the one that highlighted his Smallville appearances in the episodes Zero and Rogue from 2002.

For the record, Cameron Dye does have a wealth of other TV appearances under his belt, including M*A*S*H, Double Trouble, Miami Vice, Quantum Leap, and Murder, She Wrote – along with lots of appearances in current-day series. So even if you don’t quite recognize him, his career is far from being grody to the max.

VG is the business! A lovely, 80s rom-com. Back before Nic Cage became a punchline and let’s not forget- EG Daily topless!!!

    Consider a retraction, my friend.
