"Bob's pool. Yeah, sounds great, Bob's pool. I really want to see Bob's pool." - Jimmy Wiley

I saw Paranormal Activity in the movie theatre back in November of 2009, and although the date I took to the flick just laughed at much of it, I found it delightfully frightening. It had a great eerie feel to it, and didn’t over-do the use of the closed-circuit TV style of filming. The film culminated in one of the scariest bone-chilling moments I have ever seen, as the female protagonist let out a blood-curdling cry for her husband in the middle of the night: Micaaaaaah!! That simple cry sticks with me to this day.

That made it fun to meet Micah Sloat, who employed his real first name in the film. He was at the Chiller Theatre show on April 28, 2012, selling autographed photos and movie posters from his the acting gig that gave him his first taste of fame. He’d go on to star in the prequel Paranormal Activity 2, but so far hasn’t had any other film work of which I’m aware. The price was right, too. For $20, I picked up the signed photo (which was the photo used as a photo of the couple in the film, if that makes sense) and got a photo with Micah.

He enjoyed signing the photo with my favorite ‘line’ of the film. And now my blood curdles and my bones chill everytime I look at it.
