Brad's Musings and Meanderings

random acts of quoting

"Hey Wally, when did life get so tough?" - Beaver, "Still the Beaver"

gr.jpgMy extended families have always been tight-knit. I’ve always been close with my Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. It’s easy to see why since my parents started me off right by making frequent visits to their parents and then posing me in pictures with them. These are from the series of slides from the early months of 1972 that my Dad took with his relatively new camera. My maternal Grandparents were living on Cunnington in Kettering and my Grandma and Oscar were on Bellaire in Belmont.

  1. Once again, that picture is on the internet. You must really love it to put it on twice!

  3. I remember those days so well. I can still embrace those feelings of getting to hold onto and love all you guys when you were babies. Love is a wonderful and strong emotion that lasts a lifetime. I can’t help but think how close Ed became to all my family so easily. In the picture above we weren’t even married yet (I know this because of the famous facial hair that Ed worried Mom over – whether or not he was going to shave it off before our wedding) and Ed really enjoyed holding and playing with the babies. In that generation, guys didn’t always show that emotion openly.

  4. Wow – I was young and cute. Bright blue eyeshadow and lots of acne. Those were the days!
