cuz8.jpgHere is an assortment of nice color slides taken at the houses of various family members – including ours on Echo Hill, highlighting a couple of family get-togethers. As I mentioned in a previous posting, our families – as they continue to do now – always spent a lot of time together. The allusion to the ‘cousins parties’ in the title comes from a series of gatherings from the late 90’s and early 2000’s of the older cousins on my Mom’s side. Visiting the Grandparents

Thursday, March 1st, 2007

gr.jpgMy extended families have always been tight-knit. I’ve always been close with my Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

teeth5.jpgAs time rolled on and we got through the Christmas holiday and the New Year celebration of 1972, I chose to make my New Year resolution to get some teeth. Immediately I began concentrating on forcing them out of my head and through my gums. By January 22, the first one was poking through. About a week later the second one bagan to make its way into the world. Soon it would be time for steak. Read the rest of this entry »

CHRISTMAS 1 – 1971

Saturday, December 23rd, 2006

x702.jpgCarolyn and I started putting out a ‘Christmas Newsletter’ in 2003 highlighting memorable events from the year. Last year I thought it would be neat to include a page of “Christmas Memories” from our younger days. To my astonishment, she was not able to locate one single photo of her at Christmas as a little girl. I was incredulous. I have multiple photos of each and every one of my 35 Christmases – with just one exception. Read the rest of this entry »
