Niles in New York

dhp1Most people know David Hyde Pierce for precisely one thing: his role as Frasier Crane’s younger brother, the fastidious and snobby Niles Crane on the hit TV sitcom Frasier. I’m sure that very few would guess that he made his screen debut in the film The Terminator or remember him from The Fisher King, Nixon, or Sleepless in Seattle. But how could you? Not after he played such a memorable and iconic roll for which he won four Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Read the rest of this entry »

At Least HE Tried to Stand Up to Jason

ea3The autographs from the Friday the 13th series continue with another unique character in the series canon: Rob Dier, who actually set out in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter to avenge his sister Sandra Dier, who was killed off in the second film. This was rather unique to have not only an avenging relative, but also someone who makes it right up to the very end along with the ‘final girl’ – in this case Trish (played by Kimberly Beck). The Keyes to His Heart

rsz_1wheezyI love the films of the Coen Brothers, so even a lesser entry to their canon like Intolerable Cruelty brings me a great amount of pleasure. It was because of this that I was pretty excited to meet Irwin Keyes when he appeared at the HorrorHound Weekend on Friday, March 22, 2013. He played the ice cold hit man Wheezy Joe, whose addiction to his inhaler proved to be his downfall. I didn’t need to look much further than that credit to know that I wanted to meet him.
