Sure I’m Damn Sure He’s Dan Shor

Sometimes I can place the face but don’t know the name. In this case, I really didn’t remember the face, but I let his name and  list of credits speak for themselves. He had been in 18 episodes of Cagney & Lacey as the recurring character Detective Jonah Newman. He’d been Billy the Kid in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. He’d even had a small role as one of the deputies in Red Rock West. But it was on the strength of his Disney connection that I opted to pick up a signed photo of him. He had been the character RAM in Disney’s Tron – but without the blue glowing attire and dog bowl helmet, I’d have trouble placing him on the street. But rest assured, it was Dan Shor. The final day of the Florida leg of my trip came around on Thursday, April 19, 2012. My family and I had spent the last four days at the Disney resort – hitting the other three theme parks over the course of three of the days. Although my Mom, Bob, Denise and her kids, and Ashleigh and Silas would be hanging out at Walt Disney World (specifically at Disney’s Hollywood Studios) the following day, but that time I’d be on the other coast at Disneyland and California Adventure. Aaron would be leaving the area and meeting some friends elsewhere in Florida the next day as well. So this was our last shot at getting to the Hollywood Studios park. Read the rest of this entry »

The previous day had been restful enough that Silas and I seemed to be on the upturn with our colds. Megan on the other hand still had her worst furious vomit ahead of her. It came pretty early in the day of Wednesday, April 18, 2012. We had escaped the hotel vomit-free, but after boarding the bus from the All Star Movie Resort to Disney’s Animal Kingdom at around 10am, she let loose. I had just finished a plastic bowl of fruit, so I handed that off to help capture some of the spew. The good news in all of this was that this signaled the end of Megan’s illness.
