CHRISTMAS 21 -1991

s25The big news in my life around the start of the Christmas 1991 season was the supposed ABR job that my ‘friend’ Keith was getting me. At the thought of beginning this professional work, I got my first major haircut right around the season and shed the long flowing mullet in favor of a much more subdued and reserved mullet. Denise’s Fifth Birthday and Easter of ’81

d14.jpgDenise turned five on Wednesday, April 8, 1981. As usual, I had a hard time dealing with her getting all of the attention even on this momentous occasion – especially when she was allowed to have a birthday party with her friends and cousins. It’s humorous in a way to see me infusing my brand of idiotic humor into the photos of her party, making faces and mugging for the camera whenever possible – but in another way it is indicative of the little cretin that I had become…for no apparent reason. Introducing Megan Anne

megan3.jpgWell over two years have passed since this website began on the day that my first nephew was born on September 13, 2006. Now I proudly present Adam’s new sister Megan Anne Ockerman. She was born at 9:10am this morning, coming in at 6 pounds 13 ounces, and 19 inches long. Denise had been scheduled to be induced on this day if she had not gone into labor beforehand. CHRISTMAS 3 – 1973

3aa.jpgThe tree was up, the presents were wrapped, the food was prepared, and our little family was ready to enjoy another Christmas celebration. As a two year old, I’m sure that I really began to enjoy Christmas effective this year and also began to understand that by gingerly ripping off the wrapping paper on these boxes, I would find toys to distract and delight me…for minutes at a time! As you can see in the photo at right, there was certainly no shortage of toys under the tree to contribute to the spoilage of this two-year old. Read the rest of this entry »
