Sunday Afternoon in Las Vegas

Thursday, April 12th, 2007

phan4.jpgBob and I had an afternoon of fun and frolics on Sunday, February 11, 2007 during our stay in the beautiful town of Las Vegas, Nevada. Early in the day we had visited Our Gang member Jack Hanlon, (which you may read about here) but before we showed up at his place, we swung by the Palm Valley View Memorial Park to see the gravesite of Redd Foxx of “Sanford and Son” fame. I naturally took the opportunity to pose for the completely inappropriate photo seen below. Read the rest of this entry »

Disclaimer: If you are reading my other postings about Ashleigh’s and my Georgia travels on our way to the Augusta Sons convention, do not get confused about this posting. Although in those other postings, we are also poised to attend Jimmy Carter’s Sunday School class in Plains – this posting is about a trip that I just took with my Dad and uncle this past weekend. In Atlanta

Sunday, September 17th, 2006

As you read earlier, Ashleigh and I visited the grave of Oliver Hardy’s mother during a brief stop in Atlanta on our way to the Augusta Sons of the Desert Convention. Following that, we headed to the airport to pick up my friend Bob. We had made good time getting to Atlanta and finding Miss Emmie Hardy’s final resting place, so we had plenty of time to visit the Jimmy Carter Library. Read the rest of this entry »
