jr24.jpgThe storms that hit the area the night before while we were staying at the condom-laced Motel Six in McKinney, Texas just outside Dallas brought the cold weather back to the area on the morning of Friday, April 4, 2008, our last full day of the trip. This meant that it also brought back my ugly orange sweatshirt which I had only brought along to use in Dayton, but was now donning for the second time of the week. I had no choice, it was downright cold that morning! After leaving our motel, Bob stopped for a Krispy Kreme and I foolishly declined a donut. Read the rest of this entry »

Disneyland and California Adventure ’05

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

Jimmy and I had been up late the night before catching our appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and we were off to a running start that morning with much to do beginning with many stops to make. I had a twofold reason for wearing my nice purple shirt once again that day. I guess it never occurred to me to simply wear a white t-shirt and throw the dress shirt over it when it became necessary. mb6.jpgAfter my visit to The Music Box stairs in 1997 (that and previous visits were chronicled here), I had no association with them for more than eight years…except for my minimal involvement in 2002 with a documentary about the stairs that was put together by my good friend Jimmy Willey III. And when I say minimal, I mean microscopic. When I saw this documentary, I was not only amazed with how well it was put together, I was thoroughly entertained from start to finish. I was extremely proud to have my name listed with “special thanks” although I think I only supplied Jimmy with one small fact during his production.
