White Sox, Monsters, and Foods. Oh My.

After fiddling around for what seemed like an eternity waiting for and trying to find the photos that I had paid to have taken with some celebrities of the Wizard World Comic Con on Saturday, August 13, 2011, my friend Jason and I were finally ready to get moving to the next event for the evening. Jason whilst making a trip to the car to charge his phone, had discovered that it was now raining – which put a bit of a damp damper on this event – an evening at U.S. Cellular Field to watch the White Sox play the Kansas City Royals. Bill Clinton and Me

Only future history will reveal how President Bill Clinton’s administration is viewed and rated. The sex scandal that led to his becoming only the second President in American history to be impeached is just too fresh in our minds. But even with the periodic scandals that marred his administration from 1993-2001, Clinton still ranks high in the list of all-time greatest Presidents and left office with relatively high approval ratings. His accomplishments in the areas of foreign and domestic policy have been unmatched since the days of Ronald Reagan. In my view, he was also the most fiscally responsible President that we have had in the last 50 years.   Read the rest of this entry »

No matter how great any road trip is, they all have one thing in common: they must at some point come to an end. The last day for Bob and me to be on the road was Friday, April 1, 2011. We woke up in our motel in Phoenix, Arizona, wished each other a happy birthday for the fourth year in a row, and headed out on our last day’s adventures. I was rather excited for our first stop, mostly because it involved eating breakfast. We had stopped by here the night before, but they had been closed – so we decided to come back for our morning meal to Mel’s Diner.
