The House on John Glenn

Thursday, November 16th, 2006

jg3.jpgTo the best of my knowledge, the first time I ever visited my old house on John Glenn since 1973 was today. Denise and I were enraptured for a while in figuring out when certain pictures were taken since somehow they were inserted in the album completely out of order. Read the rest of this entry »

Woodrow Wilson’s Boyhood Home

Sunday, November 12th, 2006

wilson2.jpgFollowing our daylong trip to Savannah (which followed two trips to Plains and Americus and one to Warm Springs), Ashleigh and I were pleased to be able to take a few hours of our Georgia trip to just sleep in, relax, swim, and take in a few sights leisurely.

An unexpected surprise was the nearby location of President Woodrow Wilson’s boyhood home, just a few blocks over from our hotel in Augusta. So after the world’s crummiest home-cooked buffet, Ashleigh and I swung by the hotel, picked up Bob and headed for the historical site. Read the rest of this entry »
