After the brain-smashing evening at the Pavilion and Haunted House, we were ready to kick back the next morning with some relaxing swimming time. Dante’s Info #12

di12.jpgDante’s Info # 12, the Spring 1995 edition, was the second issue of my tent newsletter that I created using the new computer-formatted look – and the last one for many years that I was entirely pleased with. With this issue and all previous ones, my Dad would take the photos that I wanted to use to work with him and create a half-tone shot of the correct dimensions that would be literally pasted to a master sheet. These photocopied very well. But when we began scanning in the images we wanted to use, it was exceptionally difficult to print them out and get them to photocopy with any degree of quality. The Walt Disney Studios – Scene 2

Following our walking tour of Dave’s work area, we continued along our interweaving path through the Disney buildings. We next came upon the building in which models are crafted for film and animatronic characters. There was one lone worker in there, toiling away at some project, sawdust flying every which way. Dave asked if it would be okay if we looked around and he said “Sure. No problem.” So we spent the next fifteen minutes or so gaping at the marvels of the Disney imagineers. The Child Stars of My 1980 Diary

diary3.jpgHerewith the cast of my 1980 diary:

Lee Ballinger: Lee was definitely the ‘co-star’ of this diary as you can see from the numerous mentions of him from day to day. The postings are pretty much self-explanatory, but indicate a shared sense of slapstick humor. Lee was a year older than me, but in the same grade. We met when I was in first grade so had only known each other for a few months when this diary began. From what I recall, we met on the bus and soon began making visits to each other’s houses.
