Meeting Jenna Bush (and the Brennamans)
Thursday, November 29th, 2007My batting average is 0 for 2 in getting a photo snapped with grandchildren of the Presidents this year. In August, I missed the chance to be photographed with John Tyler’s grandson Harrison, the owner of Tyler’s former estate, because he was on his way out of town. On November 28, 2007, I missed a photo op with Jenna Bush, granddaughter of former President George H.W. Bush, thanks to the inexcusable ineptitude of the guy standing in line behind me. To look at the bright side, at least I got to meet the lovely Jenna and get her autograph. Read the rest of this entry »
Thursday in Daytona Beach ’07: Swimming, Burgers, and Playing with Crablegs
Wednesday, November 28th, 2007The laziness continued. There were only three distinct events which took place in my life on Thursday, September 27, 2007 and none were all that exciting on the surface. She herself had starred in the silent Little Rascals series as a baby and grew up to be a stunning fashion model. Read the rest of this entry »
Orlando 1985 and Disney World 3-D!
Monday, November 26th, 2007After a brief stay in Clearwater and a visit with Ira and Mildred, the eight of us (being Bill, Dottie, Lora, Robby, Dad, Mom, Denise, and me) all headed over to Orlando for the Classic Chevy International convention which was being held from July 28 – August 2. This would be the fourth and final one of these that I would attend. Mom and Dad had attended five, having previously gone to another one held in Orlando the prior year. In fact, they had visited EPCOT Center during that 1984 trip and Dad had decided that he wanted to go there again with Denise and me.
