The Blair Wait Project

I don’t think I’ve ever waited in a line for so long for any other celebrity I’ve ever met. Notice that I didn’t say it was necessarily a long line…I just don’t think I’ve ever waited longer. But if you want to dance with the devil, sometimes you have to pay. Linda Blair, was of course the actress who portrayed Regan MacNeil, a young teenager who becomes possessed by Satan in the 1973 thriller The Exorcist. For this performance, she was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe Award. Read the rest of this entry »

Angie and Mopp

There were two specific girls who I knew during my Junior year at Beavercreek High School. Both attractive, both blond, both with good senses of humor. I had no idea at the time that they even knew one another. Angie Crowder was in my American History class with Mr. Holliday and Jennifer Grimes was in my Math class with Mrs. Boff. As you might suspect, I liked to tease girls back in high school. Actually I did that well before high school…and well after. But nevertheless, I liked to tease them. Mouseketeer Round-Up: Part Two

Continuing on with the final two Mouseketeers who were party of the Mickey Mouse Club reunion at the Saturday, April 24, 2010, Hollywood Show in Burbank… The first of these was the adorable Karen Pendleton. She was one of the nine original Mouseketeers who would be part of the show from 1955-58, spanning its entire three-year run. After Bob and I finished checking out the Mission Dolores on the morning of Tuesday, June 15, 2010, we had just two more brief stops to see a few celebrity graves before departing San Francisco and its suburbs and heading inland. Well, that and an additional quick stop at Royal Donuts for a filling ham and cheese croissant, which we got out of the way first. By the time we got to our first cemetery, it was about 10:45. Actually buried in the city of Colma at the Holy Cross Cemetery was baseball Hall of Famer, former Yankee, and once Mr. Marilyn Monroe, Joe DiMaggio.
