The Beavercreek Beavers – 20 Years Later

For those of you who may have been concerned – and I know there are many of you – that I was not going to reach an acceptable quota (whatever that may be) of ‘reunions’ with old friends whom I hadn’t seen in five or more years, you obviously had forgotten that this was the 20th anniversary of my graduation from Beavercreek High School. So on Saturday, July 17, 2010 – less than a week after returning from Florida – I headed out for my third high school class reunion being held at the Holiday Inn in Beavercreek. Miss Teschmacher!!!

Valerie Perrine’s real breakout role came in 1974, when she starred as the wife of comedian Lenny Bruce in the film Lenny. For this role, she was nominated for both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe. She then went on to some acclaim when she played Mrs. W.C. Fields (Carlotta Monti) in W.C. Fields and Me. It is my duty to tell you of these achievements and acclaimed roles, but for a Superman buff such as myself, the real important part that she played was that of Eve Teschmacher in both Superman and Superman II. The Blair Wait Project

I don’t think I’ve ever waited in a line for so long for any other celebrity I’ve ever met. Notice that I didn’t say it was necessarily a long line…I just don’t think I’ve ever waited longer. But if you want to dance with the devil, sometimes you have to pay. Linda Blair, was of course the actress who portrayed Regan MacNeil, a young teenager who becomes possessed by Satan in the 1973 thriller The Exorcist. For this performance, she was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe Award. Read the rest of this entry »
