Nancy Kwan

Monday, June 18th, 2012

Sadly, as of yet I have never seen a movie that stars Nancy Kwan. But I could tell from the time that she was announced to be a guest at the Hollywood Show taking place on February 12, 2011, that she was kind of a big deal. More importantly to her actual film roles in the likes of films such as The World of Suzie Wong, Flower Drum Song, Disney’s Lt. Memorial Day Weekend 2012

Friday, June 15th, 2012

I had been in Colorado during Memorial Day 2011, so the only person in the world whom I spent the last two Memorial Days with was my cousin Chris. That has little bearing on this posting, but Chris likes to see his name in print. His role in Star Wars IV: A New Hope was much more memorable than his abbreviated role as a reporter in Superman II. Although since he was married to Sarah Douglas, who played Ursa in the Superman films, it makes sense that he was present, even if only in the small part. Read the rest of this entry »

Does Anyone Remember Her Name?

Monday, June 11th, 2012

If Abby Dalton couldn’t remember it, then what hope is there for the rest of us? After all, I had never actually seen an episode of The Joey Bishop Show, a relatively popular sitcom from the early 1960’s. It’s one that’s always been on my radar to see, but the only thing I knew about it was that it was the only sitcom to regress from color back to black and white when it switched networks, and that Abby Dalton was in it. When I met her at the Hollywood Show on October 8, 2011, I was counting on her to remember her character’s name. Read the rest of this entry »
