Superboy and Lana Lang
Thursday, November 28th, 2013I’ve made no secret of my love for all things Superman, but attempting to collect Superman memorabilia can be a tremendous can of worms. Between the comic books, films, TV series, cartoon series, and never-ending line of merchandising, I feel fortunate that I’ve only attempted to collect the DVD media and autographs of the major players in the films and TV series. Norman Bates’ Doctor
Wednesday, November 27th, 2013Being the doctor of psycho Psycho killer Norman Bates probably isn’t the most enviable or illustrious job that one might aspire to have. In fact it really didn’t turn out well at all for Dr. Bill Raymond (played by Robert Loggia) in the 1982 sequel to the classic Alfred Hitchcock film Psycho. He ended up getting stabbed and knocked down that famous flight of stairs that private detective Milton Arbogast tumbled down 22 years earlier. Read the rest of this entry »
Finishing Up the Maine Course, Swinging by New Hampshire, and Coming Full Circle Back to Massachusettes
Wednesday, November 27th, 2013Bob and I had spent the better part of the last two day in the state of Maine (with a brief interlude on Canada’s Campobello Island), and for good reason. Since I had never been in this relatively large state, there was much to see. On Monday, July 16, 2012, we spent the first half our day finishing it up. We had stayed in Augusta the night before for a very specific reason: to be near the state capitol. Frankly, I was a bit glad that the first tour wasn’t until 9am as I would have a chance to sleep in even if only for a little bit. Bob and I got up and had a pretty hearty breakfast at the motel consisting of scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, sausage, blueberry yogurt, and toast, and then hit the road, arriving at the Maine State House a little before 9am.
