Kneel Before Zod…Or Just Sit There

zod2Darn that Superman! Sometimes I feel like my hands are tied when it comes to celebrity encounters when it relates to that franchise. I was excited to see that Callum Blue was going to be attending the Hollywood Show when I was there on Saturday, August 4, 2012. He had portrayed General Zod in 13 episodes in the greatest Superman series of all time, Smallville. Picking Up the Tab

tabxThere are three things that Tab Hunter is known for in my world, but one of them – perhaps his most famous – I’ve never actually seen or heard. For starters, Tab Hunter had a song that topped the Billboard charts in 1957, and with that I’m quite familiar. The song is Young Love and it’s actually a stand-out for that year that was dominated by Elvis Presley. I can almost guarantee that the second thing I remember him for is not one that he’d care to remember so much. It’s that oldie but no-goodie film Grease 2 that played ad nauseam in my house in the mid-1980’s, so much so that I began to actually love it. He played Mr. Stuart and took part in my favorite silly song romp Reproduction. His role was actually quite delightful in his pent up sexual frustration of Miss Mason, played by Connie Stevens, whom I’ve also met. Read the rest of this entry »
