Planting the Lemon Tree

trini2To my credit, singer Trini Lopez only cracked the top 20 twice, so it’s not all that unusual that I really had never heard of him prior to the early 1990’s. Both of these songs, If I Had a Hammer and Lemon Tree, were cover songs at that. But the later of the two achieved a iconic status for a whole other reason than being a passably catchy tune…at least to me. Bond Girls – Part 3

bondgxMy secret spy operation of collecting autographs from and photo with the so-called ‘Bond girls’ of the James Bond film continued. The rule of thumb is generally that if you find one Bond girls, you’ll probably find at least one more at the same show. At the case of the Chiller Theatre show in Parsippany, New Jersey, on April 28, 2012, this was precisely the case. I have already covered the other Bond girl that I obtained at this show, Maryam d’Abo, as seen in my first Bond Girls installment found here. Now it was time to grab an audience with Luciana Paluzzi. Young Indy Powder

indy2By attending as many autographs shows as I do, sometimes you notice that the same celebrities keep showing up time after time after time. Sometimes its nice to say hello to one whom you’ve met before, and of course it’s always nice when they recognize you, which has happened a good dozen times. Then there are the ones you just don’t care about, so you get tired of seeing them on the list. One of these in my case is Norman Reedus, who always has huge lines and is always part of a reunion of Boondock Saints or a cast gathering of The Walking Dead – again neither of which I really care anything about.
