There are quite a few reasons that one might be interested in Mariel Hemingway. Literature buffs would be captivated about meeting the granddaughter of famed American literary giant Ernest Hemingway. Or cheesecakes buffs – or perverts – might be interested in the fact that Mariel Hemingway was a Playboy covergirl and appeared in a magazine pictorial, as well as portraying Playmate Dorothy Stratten in the acclaimed Bob Fosse film Star 80. Oscar buffs and Woody Allen fans would know Mariel as the Oscar nominee for Best Supporting Actress of 1980 for the film Manhattan.
