Okay, I promise you that the postings related to the Halloween franchise will come to an end at some point, but for now I still have a few celebrity encounters related to the series that I must share. This one is a little bit more on the obsucre side and is one that I had to be in the right frame of mind to pick up. It comes from Halloween 5, the 1989 entry in the series that featured Danielle Harris as little Jamie Lloyd – whom I’ve already covered here. Typically I don’t get autographs from all the victims of mad killers such as Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers, but I made an exception with Tamara Glynn, who played Samantha Thomas in the film.
I guess the exception was made because there were only a handful of celebrities at the Horrorhound event in Cincinnati on March 22, 2013, so my list was already short enought to splurge on a few guilty pleasures like Tamara. I had also been reading a blog in which fans clamored to know what had happened to the actress. So the curiosity and demand about her made me succumb to the peer pressure and add her to my list. Plus she played the homecoming queen in an episode of Growing Pains.
I don’t regret plunking down the $20 for a nice autographed – mostly because Tamara was super nice. She made a good memory for both me and Carolyn, posing for single photos with both of us, and then suggesting a photo with all of us. Encounters with celebs like Tamara are often the most entertaining of them all.
