Bob the Nice Fella

Monday, June 23rd, 2014

bob1There is an extremely broad age range of folks – like me – who grew up watching Sesame Street on PBS. Those who did most certainly have many memories of their group of TV friends, although those groups may vary depending on whether you started watching it when it first began in 1969 or just started watching this year. Except of course for the characters Bob Johnson (played by Bob McGrath) and Susan (Loretta Long), because they are the only two human actors who have been with the show for its incredible 45-year run. Yours, Mine, Ours, Brad’s

Wednesday, June 18th, 2014

ymo2You may recall that back during the Summer of 2012, I was able to meet a trio of gals who had been the ‘final girls’ in three of the Friday the 13th films. What Does the Fox Say?

Thursday, May 29th, 2014

fox4Until I met her, I don’t think I had ever seen her with her top on… but hey, who’s complaining? My association with Samantha Fox is somewhat interesting in that I had never seen her in an issue of the British Tabloid The Sun, where she first garnered her fame as a “Page 3” girl…nor have I ever heard a single note of her music. I suppose you’d call it a bit of a ‘nostalgia thing’ for me. Read the rest of this entry »

Joan Collins

Friday, May 23rd, 2014

jc3I can honestly say that the coolest thing about getting to meet Joan Collins is to be the official owner of the bragging rights that enable you to say “I met Joan Collins.” I mentioned long ago when I met her co-star Linda Evans that I wasn’t a fan of the TV show Dynasty by any stretch of the imagination, but I certainly recognize its status as a major force in night time soap opera dramas from the 1980’s.  Read the rest of this entry »
