bonder4Is it shaken, not stirred? Or stirred, not shaken? Yes, I could use Google to figure that out, or I could just ask one of the many, many Bond girls that I’ve met over the past few years. This is my fourth installment of a trio of Bond gals whom I’ve had the pleasure to run into – or rather, give money to – as I’ve made my way from sea to shining sea in search of fun and exotic celebrity encounters. In this installment, we’ll stick with the gals who appeared opposite the original James Bond, Sean Connery.

So we’ll start out with one of the meetings that took place at the Chiller Theatre show in Parsippany, New Jersey, on October 27, 2012. Her name was Barbara Carrera and she starred in the non-canonical Bond film Never Say Never Again as the returning Sean Connery’s hot, female nemesis, the sadomasochistic Fatima Blush.

Apparently her cult credits run deeper as she was considerable more expensive than a lot of the Bond girls, especially considering her film wasn’t an official one. Perhaps it was her 25 episodes of Dallas as Angelica Nero, or maybe her one episode of That 70’s Show. In any case, she cost $25 for an autograph and $10 for a photo op and she still looked pretty good for being 68 years old.

Next up, we go all the way back to the very first James Bond film, Dr. No from 1962. Eunice Gayson is the only Bond girl that I have from the first film, and has the distinction of not only being in the first, but star as the same character in the second Bond film, From Russia with Love, as Sylvia Trench, Bond’s semi-regular girlfriend. She appeared as part of the James Bond reunion at the Hollywood Show on January 12, 2013.

Her claim to fame has clearly only been the two Bond films, but considering that she was in the first two, I was pretty happy with the $25 price tag that included a free photo op with her.

Lastly, we move onto the third film in the series, Goldfinger, and the character Tilly Masterson. I liked her $20 price tag even better – at the same Hollywood Show with the Bond reunion that I mentioned above.

The fact that Tania Mallet never acted in any other big screen role, combined with the fact that she came over from England to attend the event, makes me appreciate her obscurity…and I was quite glad to add her to my Bond girls encounters
